LET'S GO RANGERS!

We love a good Rangers game! We have been several different times with wards, friends, and just for the fun of it! We enjoy for (1) the atmosphere....

(2) The great Texas attire.....

(3) The great view...

 (4) the great treats that come with great company

We have become Rangers fans while living here in Texas. Before Texas neither Brett and I had planned on liking the Rangers so much, but being so close it just happened! (and well it doesn't hurt that they have been doing really well.)

Another year down....

Had a great birthday thanks to my fabulous husband! I got a strawberry cake with fresh strawberries on top... YUM! Brett always works hard to make holidays (including my birthday) a great day for me!

My loot from my birthday and all the kind people who were thinking of me during it! I appreciate having such great friends and family!

HOUSTON!! UP, UP, and AWAY

Welcome to Houston!!! We had such a great time in Houston. Starting with none else but the coming to see the Astros or as Brett let me know, this season were also known as the "lastros". Whether that is true or not, it was great game, and an awesome Stadium!  We enjoyed the game, and the Astros actually won.

Although Houston is south of us, they have the technology to be way above us! We loved going to learn more about NASA and the crazy heights they have reached! Including the MOON.  We got to see the actual size of a rocket. And wow that alone was impressive but there was more....

There were the stories of amazing men and women who took "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."

The famous " Houston we have a problem" room. Where it actually took place.

I think Brett enjoyed getting to know the ropes around the life of an Astronaut. We even tried the dried Astronaut food they sell at the gift shop to prove it!

This could be a whole new look for Brett!

What would a trip be if Brett didn't find the next restaurant to the Pappas Chain. Let's just say we left full with plenty of left overs and smiles for the road!

Final Destination of our Houston trip was to see the Houston Temple. It was beautiful by itself, and in a great location. We loved being able to see another temple in Texas to attend. And hope to go back to on a day when we can participate.

Trip to California With the Denham Family

California is such a fun place to go enjoy the sun, hit up disneyland, find seashells, and have a good vacation which we did with Brett's family. They are a lot of fun and we were able to have a lot of fun while there!

While we were on Space Mountain, the timing got off so they stopped the ride in progress and turned on the lights while they did some adjustments. We were able to see the inner workings of the ride. When we got back to the start, Cole was yelling "It's not really space!" We got to ride it again completely in the Dark but we still laugh about Cole ruining the ride for everyone else... "It's not really space!"

You can't leave Disneyland without one great shot of the Castle to remember that this is where "dreams really do come true"

We didn't see too many of the Walt Disney characters walking around but we did see Woody! Which was actually one of the favorites rides we did was the new carnival ride Toy Story in California Adventure.

With a great recommendation of Alex. We got tickets in the morning so we could go see World of Color that night. It was a great display of lights, water, music, and disney movies. We had a lot of fun and were impressed with the show!

Who would we be if we didn't end up going to at least one sporting event! Which we chose to be the Angels baseball game! While at the game they were behind but after we all bought our rally monkeys, the rally started and the Angels won the game!

We had a third pretty much the whole trip which was fun. TJ became our little buddy and would come in the middle of Brett and I any chance he got, even if that meant breaking up the hand holding he was going to be right where we were!

And finally, you can't go to California without playing at the beach! When everyone was done, Brett became the designated knob turner for everyone- even people we didn't know! A rough job but he handled it well.

Another favorite place to visit in Dallas is the American Airlines Center! Watching those Mav's play is pretty exciting.... but often times we went to see the Jazz, you could say killing two birds with one stone. Brett despite the Jazz' losing record most times is still a fan through thick and thin! But the atmosphere is so great that we just keep going back!!

Brett was super excited to see the Jazz announcer and analyst Craig Bolerjack and Matt Harpring that we needed to go get a picture to document it!

We were terribly out numbered at the games, but Brett was still a proud Jazz fan! Although one of the games was the one right after Deron Williams got traded and Brett had been so excited to see him play- sadly it never happened, but the Mav's fans took pity on Brett that night!

Around the world... Or maybe just the states

So as I have been slacking I have decided to give the whirlwind effect of what Brett and I have been doing...So here we go!!

Let's start with Brett's dream come true- good friends, Kenny Chesney, and the Cowboys Stadium! Last April we went with a couple of people from the dentist office and had a blast at the Concert. Not only Kenny, but Zac Brown Band, Billy Currington and Uncle Kracker. It was an all day fiasco.

However we started it out right with a little Papadeaux's before hand. The Pappas chain has become one of Brett's favorite chains of Texas. He will swear by it!

Of course Brett and I had to go the true country style with our Cowboy/girl hats. Brett representing the Texas Longhorns made it complete Texas Kenny Chesney Concert!

The concert was awesome!!! Food was great. And the Company was the best! It will be a favorite memory for Brett and I for a long time!
